I had a delightful weekend! I did have to venture out in five-degree weather on Saturday morning but eventually, my car warmed up and I got to Starbucks for a nice warm cup of tea. Guess who I met up with? Dee and Vera! They were kind enough to invite me along on their usual Saturday get-together and we met at Starbucks and knit, chatted, and laughed for a couple of hours. It was lovely but I'll choose a warmer place to sit next time. We got a blast of cold air every time the door opened and even inside our fingers and toes were cold. Next, we went across the street to a huge thrift store and shopped for a little bit, and then went to Braveheart Pub for a wonderful lunch.
Sunday was filled with chores like laundry, cleaning the bathroom, and mopping the kitchen floor since I had "goofed off" (John's words) on Saturday. I still had some time on Sunday for knitting.

ReplyDeleteAw, that brings such a smile to my face to see you all together! I really miss having an in-person knit group. Zoom is awesome for being able to get together with people far away, but there's something about sitting with people that it doesn't really capture.
