I cross this bridge a lot; it's the one from Milford, New Jersey to Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. There is a more direct route to PA via the Frenchtown bridge, but that bridge is under construction (possibly until the 12th of Never). So I take this detour that adds about 20 minutes to my trips but it also gives me time to really look at the bridge and think about what I'm seeing.
Blogging isn’t always easy. Some days the words come slow, and the doubts come fast. But what I’ve missed most isn’t just the writing—it’s you. The people. The connections. The quiet encouragements and the kind messages from those who reached out to say they were thinking of me, and even missed me.
It’s amazing how much a simple “you were missed” can do. So I offer a big thank you. A little encouragement truly does go a long way—and here I am, back at the keyboard.
See you in the comments. Let’s pick up where we left off.
Welcome back! It is so good to hear from you again - you were definitely missed. That sure is a pretty bridge.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back indeed! The community I have found through blogging has become so very necessary! The past two mornings I have pulled on a sweater to head out the door to walk Frankie in the early morning quiet... and have savored doing so! A tiny reminder that these long hot days are not here forever! Why, I even turned the oven on yesterday!!
ReplyDeleteI have missed your updates and have been thinking of you. I hope the frustration is in the past now. I suppose if you have to take a detour that adds time to your trip, it's nice that it's a pretty one!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Bonny. I don't always comment, but I always read your posts. I can't believe you got photo's of the bridge with so little traffic. I hope all is well with you. I'm dealing with a medical curve ball (or maybe it's a fast ball) myself. So I can appreciate the need to retreat a bit.
ReplyDeleteHello, Friend! I am glad you decided to come back. You may doubt your posts, but I like all of them, even when you think the subject matter is not interesting. I always find you interesting, Bonny. I find myself going the long way on purpose a lot these days, slowing down and appreciating the scenery without so much traffic angst. Your pictures are very good, such a clear day! I have another Dr. appointment tomorrow, and I am hoping it is my last for a while. I hope you are having the same experience. Of course, I have to see the eye doctor later this week, and then Boomer has to have a dental appointment since he is losing some teeth. Old dogs and old ladies have to endure too much maintenance!
ReplyDeleteyay you are back! You can write about anything and I find it interesting :)
