Monday Is for Manual Labor

I'll be absent from the blog for a few days because I'm at Ryan's house performing manual labor. This time it's for real; we've had seven cubic yards of topsoil delivered and it needs to be wheelbarrowed, shoveled, and raked into place. I'll be back later this week, hopefully without too much pain in my back and shoulders.

I hope your week is off to a good start, without too much manual labor (unless you like that kind of thing)!

  4. Ooof! I'm glad to see you're well prepared to deal with the aftereffects of all that work. I hope you're done soon and have time to rest and recover!

  5. Sending good juju for light loads, Bonny. Be gentle with yourself, and be wary of over-doing. Drink plenty of water and get some rest. (So much advice. . . ) I'll be thinking of you. (Also, you're doing a Very Good Thing.) XO

  8. Well, I love Duluth Trading and their witticisms, so thanks for that. I had to look up Quit Your Bitchin'. Does it work? If so, I need some. I am only going to tellyou that if you are like me, you will continue on even when your body says, "stop" if you have not achieved your goals. Don't do that. Live to labor another day without injury. I hope you all have good weather, good cheer, and enjoy the camaraderie. Happy Monday!

    1. We actually got it all done today (with a few downspout details to take care of tomorrow). Some Ben-Gay and ibuprofen before bed and I'll be good!

  10. Bonny, take good care. All that manual labor can be hard on a body. It looks as if you are prepared.
