Three on Thursday

Joining Kat and Carole for Three on Thursday, and today it's with three things growing in the garden.

There are peas,

with their lovely tendrils that will soon be climbing the fence,

long rows of spinach,

and my favorites, tomatoes.

None of these look like much now, just small green plants in lots of mundane brown soil, so here is a bonus fourth and prettier thing on Thursday, some early columbines.

Here's hoping your garden is growing well, whatever you happen to be growing!

Head on over here to read more Three on Thursday posts.

  1. That looks like a lot of green for just being May 10! (and I just realized ... are you going to have to travel back and forth to tend the garden this summer?! yikes!)

  2. Everything looks fabulous, Bonny! Despite all the upheaval in your life, working that garden will keep you grounded. No matter what. XO

  3. Your garden is looking great Bonny! We should grow peas some time - I love garden peas. And what a great shade of pink for your columbine. I haven't seen any of ours yet!

  4. It's still too early for us to plant vegetables unless they are cold crop ones but I did plant some ground phlox yesterday and I've got LOTS and LOTS of plans!

Hopefully I will too ---------NEXT year.

  6. We bought all of the window box plants the other day but won't plant them until Memorial Day weekend most likely. Your garden is looking pretty spectacular...that's a lot of spinach! And good luck with any house happenings you have going on today!

  7. You are so far ahead of us! However, this weekend is Bunny-proof-the-garden weekend! Ha!

  8. Your garden is looking great and makes my mouth is water for garden fresh vegetables!

  9. Wow, I am impressed, Bonny. I think that is a lot of green for this time of the year. I hope your garden is a comfort rather than a burden during this demanding time.

  10. Your garden looks great and I admit, I'm a little jealous. I'm such a horrible gardener. The volunteer rose bush that grows among the pine trees on the edge of the woods is in full swing while my 'rose garden' has one surviving stalk this year with 3 leaves on it. Sad and pitiful! Guess I'll stick with knitting instead of growing. :)

  11. Oh the columbine. SO Lovely. None here. Just at the old house. I hope they enjoy ALL the flowers we left them . Snowdrops, irish, Columbine, daisies! Lily of the valley!! It is a small price to pay as we are up in the woods now and nature is all around us.

    1. It's hard to leave flowers that you've planted and nurtured, but hopefully the new owners are appreciating them, and like you said, you're surrounded by nature!

  12. I just returned from checking on our garden as we were unable to spend time there last night. It looks great! We also have peas, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, potatoes and garlic (which will be ready early this year!). I love watching the green leaves come out of the ground and reach for the sun! Your garden looks great and I agree with Kym, the garden is a good place to put your angst.
