Small Wins

Some of my recent small wins ...

  • I had one mail day last week that was all recycling and no bills!
  • I slept on crisp line-dried sheets on Saturday night - heavenly!
  • I found this literature clock! Open it up any time of day and you'll see a quote from literature that features the current time. Give it a try!
  • I'm back to walking every day (for the past week) after letting it go by the wayside for 6 weeks or so this summer. It was too hot, I got too sweaty, my hips hurt, my back hurt, etc. I had an excuse at the ready every day, but it was time to put them aside and get moving.
  • I did manage to get to NJ Sheep & Wool on Sunday for a short while. It was raining (that's a good thing) and I missed meeting Vera, Dee, and Bridget (not a good thing at all), but I did manage to find some lovely yarn for what I hope will be a different and wearable Hitchhiker.
I hope your Monday is off to a good start and you have several small wins in your week ahead!

  3. I was wondering if you managed to get to the Fairgrounds on Sunday. Glad you did and glad you found some yarn. I imagine it was not too crowded on Sunday. I think I had heard about the literature clock - I need to look at it again. What a fun idea.

  5. Isn't that literature clock the coolest thing? I can't belive how clever some people are . . . And those are wonderful WINS (of any size!), Bonny. I'm so glad you were able to make it the sheep festival, and now I'm eager to see the new Hitchhiker come to life. And BRAVO to you for picking up the walking again. (It is miserable to walk outside in the heat of summer - especially this summer.) Here's to good walking weather for the next few months! XO

  6. Glad you got to make it to the festival. Sad you couldn't go on Saturday. Glad you found yarn ....it wasn't hard. The show was great this year.

P.S. I'm casting on a Hitchhiker this afternoon.

  7. I love mail days that don't include bills! And yay for Sheep & Wool. Good for you for starting up with walking again. I think re-starting is even harder than starting the first time.

  8. Sounds like you are giving your attention to the most important things, Bonny, small victories! I hope your week continues with a slew of them every day. Actually we all have a slew of them every day, but we often fail to pay attention. Keep that positive attitude. I agree that sleeping on clean sheets is a joy. I never fail to notice that.

  9. A few of those "small" wins sound pretty big! Yay for getting back to walking and new yarn for another hitchhiker. Our weather finally broke - an almost coolish breeze started late this afternoon - and I hope it gets up to y'all soon!

  10. I agree with Mary, some of your small wins seem pretty big to me. Hooray for finding your way to the NJ Sheep and Wool Festival. We had a glorious autumn weather day on Sunday. The temps are headed back up this week but the mornings will be cool. That is a win for me. I look forward to seeing what yarn you have chosen. If you only bought yarn for one hitchhiker, I'd say you exercised a good restraint.
