Unraveled Wednesday

Joining Kat and friends for Unraveled Wednesday.

My knitting looks pretty much the same as last week (and the week before that), which is why it's just bunched up in a pile. Imagine a few more points on the never-ending hitchhiker and you'll have a clear picture.

I have finished several books for Book Bingo over the last week, A Full Life and I Contain Multitudes, and am excited to be starting several new ones. I picked up Invisible Emmie from the library for my graphic novel square. Graphic novels have not been my favorites in the past, but I was pleased to page through this one and see that it has a "semi-graphic" format. I think there is enough text to keep me happy and enough drawings to still make it graphic.

I'm also excited to start The Hate U Give. I've been making a concerted effort to get the books I'm reading for Book Bingo from my local library, Overdrive, or listen to ones I've already got in my Audible library. So far, I've only purchased two books (Bambi and Bambi's Children), and they were inexpensive paperbacks.

So, in between mountains of laundry, knitting, reading, and work today, I'm going to be ripping these CDs into itunes so I can listen on my ipod. With these additions, my Book Bingo card is coming along nicely.

What are you knitting and reading this week?

  3. Definitely a good looking bingo card! I think the onslaught of heat has slowed me down in every direction (knitting, reading, stitching), but that's ok...I'm still enjoying it all, just at a more leisurely pace.

  4. Oh I can't wait to hear what you think of The Hate U Give. Bahni Turpin is such a great narrator, too. and I love that you're keeping with that Hitchhiker - a few points a week is still forward progress!

  6. Ummm nothing. :-) Well, I have been picking away on my poncho but I haven't read a word! Sending Undaunted Courage back and will return to it on vacation. Picking up Pax and listening to Howard's End. I'm struggling a little with that. I want it overrrrr. :-)

    1. I'm lucky that I work at home and can listen to audio books often throughout my work day. Otherwise I don't think I'd ever find enough time for reading!

    1. I'm about halfway through and I think it's great! (I could barely stop listening today during a conference call and can't wait to see how it ends.)

  10. You're making great progress and you'll easily have a coverall come the end of summer. Soon, soon I'll be able to read more, knit more and, hopefully, enjoy it immensely. :)
