... is a day when you just want to lie in front of the air conditioner with a wet washcloth on your forehead. Our weather this week looks quite warm too d**n hot, like much of the rest of the country:
This is one week I'm really not looking forward to, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for 78 degrees on Friday.

I sure hope the Friday forecast is accurate and I hope the other days are over-stated. It's going to be a rough one!
ReplyDeleteIt's awful, isn't it? I've already decided that I'm not even going to try to exercise outside this week. It's bad enough that I have to be outside to take the dog on walks. I'm also not going to even think about drying my hair, so I hope my coworkers are okay with messy buns!
ReplyDeleteI guess summer really wanted us to get that it is summer! I am exceedingly thankful that we have AC... but I sure as heck don't want to move from the cool inside to the oven that is the outside! Stay cool!

ReplyDeleteWalking the dog at between 5:30 and 6am is barely tolerable, but it is necessary. I have actually enjoyed the solitude and quiet on these walks. Boomer and I can walk everywhere with abandon! However, the rest of the day is unbelievably hot, and I have set the thermostat on 78 to avoid an AC unit going out and bankrupting utility bills. I think this is the new normal, and I am trying to adapt. Fans, fruit, and very little cooking have helped. I hope your Friday forecast comes true. There is nothing like that in mine.

ReplyDeleteI had to turn off The Weather Channel this morning. It gave me an anxiety attack. I can't do heat. The idea of a two hour car ride up to Daughter's tomorrow morning for babysitting again is giving me the willie's. I told The Mister we are packing a cooler full of ice for the trip. I'm not taking any chances. If we end up on the side of the road for whatever reason, I'm diving in.
ReplyDeleteThe Weather Channel likes to get wound up about all kinds of weather. They hyperventilate with winter storms and intense summer heat. The cooler full of ice sounds like a good idea!
DeleteI'm going out in about 15 minutes to deliver lunches for our summer feeding program. Today we will bring 85 lunches to four different locations in our town. After that, I'm staying indoors with the ac on! Stay cool!
