...is a day to breathe a big sigh of relief.
We still haven't had any rain, but the temperatures and humidity dropped over the weekend. I managed to mop the kitchen floor without sweating and even turned the oven on to bake some zucchini bread. The temperatures look bearable this week and there is that ever-elusive prediction of rain by the weekend. I have hope this week and I hope you do, too!
Oh yes! And, my weather app is showing we will have rain by 8 a.m. today! Not a ton, but something. The air does seem fresher some how.

ReplyDeleteWe had a much cooler, less-humid weekend, and it's amazing how much more energy a person has when the heat isn't zapping it away. Our high is only going to be in the low 70s today! I hope you enjoy that fresh-baked zucchini bread!
ReplyDeleteIt was actually (dare I say it?) . . . chilly . . . here this weekend. (Like highs in the mid-60s.) I hope rain falls just where you need it most this week!

ReplyDeleteSeems temps are moderating most places, which seems weird in August, but I guess we paid our dues in July (hopefully!). It is still in the 90's here, but the humidity dropped this weekend, and it was very nice. I hope several really good things happen for you this week, Bonny. ReplyDeleteI hope you get some rain soon! Temps here have improved and it's been nice enough that I've been able to sleep with my windows open! Our small town will be hopping this week because the students return. I'm trying to get all of my errands and shopping done by Wednesday. I hope you have a good week!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the good wishes today. I did have a good day. For some reason, Sunday I was feeling like life was a little bleak. We had a cool down today with .35 of an inch of rain. It's not nearly enough but it is some and that is hopeful.
