Sometimes Monday ...

... is a day to get prepared. We've got the first significant snowstorm of the season predicted on Wednesday, with snow lasting for 24 hours, and a final tally of 12-14 inches.

This is a sunrise photo from late last week, but I'm guessing that Wednesday's may also be a "red sky at morning, sailors take warning" one. I'm off to get my french toast fixin's (bread, milk, and eggs - it's a law in NJ), fill the four-wheeler with gas and get it all set to easily plow all the snow. I asked for the snowplow attachment as my Christmas present two years ago, so I'm kind of hoping I actually get a chance to use it!

Here's hoping your week is a good one without too much snow!

  2. No significant snow here yet -- and none on the horizon for the weeks, either. I'll enjoy your storm from afar! So glad you've got enough warning that you can be prepared. (And that sky!!!! WOW!) XO

  3. Here ins Utah, we had 1-2 inches of snow Friday night and early Saturday. More expected today. It's not a lot of snow, but it is bitter cold and the streets will be icy. Beautiful picture. Have a great week!

  4. Oh goodness, that's a lot of snow! I don't think we're expected to get much because they haven't started monopolizing the local news with weather reports, but I guess we're just off the edge of the storm. I hope you're able to stock on up the necessary supplies and get to enjoy that plow attachment!

  6. I saw that you were going to get lots of snow, Bonny, but I didn't know that french toast was a law in NJ when it snows. I think it's a really good law, I love french toast. Get prepared, then settle back and enjoy the show! Let us know how it goes with the use of your snow attachment. I, too, am a practical girl. There is nothing like a really good tool to promote satisfaction when doing a necessary job.

  12. I hope you get a chance to play with your plow, but I hope it's not enough snow to be a problem. We had an inch or two, enough to be plowed and the walks cleared (ah, condo life), plus the mountains are white and that's the best part! They need to receive the snowfall you're getting!

  13. What a gorgeous sunrise. Now wouldn't those colors interpreted in yarn make a wonderful hitchhiker.
