Sometimes Monday ...

... is the day to wait in line at the post office to mail Ryan's presents.

This is after the town water guys come to replace our water meter with some new-fangled one. The water will be shut off for "hopefully, only an hour" is what I was told when I called to schedule the appointment. What could go wrong?!

Wish me luck with the water meter and the post office. I hope your Monday is a good one!

(And be sure to check in tomorrow when Kym, Carole, and I reveal the next Read With Us book selection. I'm excited to tell you about it!)

  2. Our town has been replacing meters, too, and it's usually a very fast and simple process. I hope that is your experience!

  4. Now that sounds like a real Monday's Monday! I hope the post office line was short and the water shut-off time is less than predicted! XO

    1. There was no line at my post office so I count myself pretty lucky! It feels good to have things mailed, so now I can focus on the rest of the knitting I'd like to get done. I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.

  6. I hope your trip to the post office was quick, but your water restoration was quicker! This is a lot to do on a Monday during the pandemic, but just think, you will have it over with so you can enjoy the rest of your week. Have a great Monday, Bonny!

  7. Oh we are alike. I got 9 paackages ready and brought my knitting to work on while I planned to wait in the car. I was so lucky . NO ONE was in the post office but the clerk! Overyjoyed! When I was leaving 9 cars were pulling in. I never mail this early, but I was afraid I'd run out of time due to delays with all the COVID caused increases in people who are shipping. Phew. I feel so relieved

  8. Sheesh, water work on a Monday sounds like a circle of hell! At least it sounds like your post office trip was without hassle, and I hope the USPS sends that package directly to its recipient. (My yarn dyer friend sent me a package on Friday that decided to go on a tour of the state and visit Harrisburg and Lancaster before heading my way -- in other words, go the opposite direction!)
