Sometimes Monday ...

... is a day to admire a doe and her (three or four) fawns!

They weren't munching on my landscaping, so seeing all of them was pretty much the highlight of my weekend. Hope your week is off to a good start!

  3. Adorable! Especially so because they weren't munching on your plants -- those are the best kind of animal visitors!

  9. I think that maybe the deer are rather prolific this year? Several other people I know are remarking about how many they are seeing... not here in Wash DC - at least in my immediate area. Lovely shots and thx for sharing.

  10. Oh those photo are beautiful! We see fawns but not with those markings (I don't know why--West Coast deer are different?).

    1. I'm not a deer expert, but I think you have mule deer in Oregon and not whitetail deer like we have in the east. I bet your fawns are still cute!

  11. Bonny, I have NEVER seen one mama with that many fawns ! What a lovely scene. I planted clover, as you know, this year. I think it has kept the deer away from my other flowers. They have candy so to speak, so why eat grass?/

    1. I only saw one doe so I wasn't sure if all four fawns were hers. Whoever they belong to, seeing all of them was a delightful surprise!
