Unraveled Wednesday

Joining Kat and friends for Unraveled Wednesday, and this week is more of the same in the knitting department. 
 
I am moving gradually to a slightly lighter and brighter green section of the blank. I'm anxious to see what comes next and how the transitions look, so I'm going to keep plugging away.

 If my knitting is a bit routine and mundane, my reading has not been. I just finished an absolutely wonderful book, The Dutch House. I actually listened to it and that was part of the reason it was so good. It was read by Tom Hanks and was the perfect narrator-story match. I'm still reading our Read With Us book, Just Mercy, along with looking for my next audiobook that will measure up to The Dutch House. Suggestions are welcome!

    I'm glad to hear a good review of The Dutch House; it keeps popping up in various book-related places I visit. I will have to see if I can get the audiobook from the library!

    I started Just Mercy last night and didn't even get through the introduction yet, but I'm already really enjoying it!

    It is socks, socks, socks with a thought in the back of my mind of starting a sweater.

    Reading about the psychology of cats. While it could be a pretty dry subject, the author has made it quite readable.

    I put myself on the wait list for The Dutch House when you first started it...I've got such a long wait I may end up buying it on Audible with a review like this! Knitting...a sock and reading easy Stephanie Plum!

    I just finished listening to The Dutch House last night. I, too, thought it was fabulous -- and Tom Hanks' narration contributed to my enjoyment. (I do think it would also be great if I was just reading it myself. Really excellent.) XO

    You have convince me even though I am not an Ann Patchett fan. The idea of Tom Hanks reading the book to me put me over the top!
