We drove up to Mansfield Pennsylvania to spend a long weekend with John's older sister, her husband, their kids (my niece and nephew), and their kids. It was wonderful.
We ate lots of good food,
drank plenty of cocktails. (My SiL makes the best vodka & tonics.),
ate watermelon,
admired flowers growing in my SiL's garden,
picked blueberries at a place with far-ranging views,
built a dam,
and played in the creek.
Looks like a thoroughly enjoyable weekend!

ReplyDeleteIt was great! (A long drive, but very worthwhile!)
DeleteThat was a glorious weekend. Spending time with family in the out of doors is the best. And fresh blueberries might be the icing on the cake. I have picked them twice in Minnesota and they tasted so much better than those from the stores.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to know that my brothers and I aren't the only one to build dams...Had a NRA hat which we changed to Natural Rock Architechture. Made our own 'jacuzzi' so we could soak after all that work. lol
ReplyDeleteThat's just what we did, too!
DeleteWhat a delightful getaway! ...especially love playing in the creek and those blueberries ... and of course the good time re-connecting with family.
