And So They Grow

My seedlings don't sing like John Denver's, but most of them are up and growing.

Tomatoes

Napa cabbage

And this is pop corn!

I hope your weekend has some sunshine, warmth, and signs of spring.

  1. I just love seeing things GROWING again! What marvelous progress in just a week, Bonny. Soon, you'll be planting them in the ground -- un-frozen and snow-free. :-)

  2. Nice!! Good to see those green shoots emerging. Fletch had our pepper and tomato seedlings outside when I got home yesterday and they stayed out all night on our patio (it was 60 outside this morning!!).

  4. They DO grow so quickly. Smith's are a little ahead of where he thought they would be and we're a couple of weeks from putting them in the ground. BUT, spring is so wonderful despite it's fickleness!

    1. We've never grown popcorn before, so we haven't really seen one either! I think it's pretty much like regular corn, but the plant and ears are smaller. We'll see!

  6. Seedlings are the embodiment of hope and promise, and yours are coming along! My grandfather raised popcorn, so that will be fun. Warm today, cold and wet all weekend, so spring is still teasing us down here. I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Happy Friday, Bonny!

  7. Oh, how cool! How does a popcorn plant differ from a regular corn plant? Smaller, perhaps? This part of gardening is magical to me and also seems fiddly (so, heebie-jeebies).

  8. Yes! Hopefully you'll be planting soon. We've got some green showing in the lily garden too...thank goodness. Mother Nature is doing everything she can to ruin the once promising weekend. We shall savor today!
