Now I'm going to get out and make sure I really see what's around me in August present. I hope you get a chance to do some of the same this weekend!

Ooooo! Those are great past-August shots! Enjoy the weekend, Bonny. XO
ReplyDeletelove the bugs :) I wish my photos were organized but sadly they are only organized by date. I guess that is what works.
ReplyDeletePhoto organization, the bane of my existence! However, these shots are so awesome! Especially that moth... oh my! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow - that rose looks nothing like the ones I saw yesterday! Hope you find more like that ... and have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are gorgeous Bonny! I love the bug one (remind me to tell you about the dead bug Colin gave me once...). Here's to a lovely weekend - enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I saw a recipe yesterday for zucchini and corn fritters that I'm going to try -- served with a sour cream/horseradish/chive sauce!
Ugh photo organization. Oh look, pretty bugs!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Bonny!
I love that top photo! And corn fritters...so I'm going off to find a good recipe they sound very delicious right now. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, a June bug! I used to catch those on my grandfather's farm and tie a string around them so they would fly in a circle. Was that cruel? Probably, but I always let them go. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAround here we call them cicadas. They emerge from the ground, shed their skin (that brown husk) and then hatch into that big bug with huge eyes. They hang out in trees and make this quite loud buzzing sound to call prospective mates. The sound reminds me of a dentist's drill and kind of reverberates in my head. Can you tell they are not my favorites? :-)
DeleteThe hen and chick, as we called them when I was a kid, reminds me of my mother's yard. She had them everywhere, probably because they grew with little care. I've never seen a luna moth and I'm not sure they are even found around here. Hope your weekend was lovely!
