Unraveled Wednesday

Joining Kat and friends for Unraveled Wednesday, trying to figure out a new way to show you the same old Hitchhiker.

There are now 48 teeth.

The ball of yarn is getting much smaller.

I found some purple heart beads that I'm kind of excited about and may sew on the ends.
All incentives to keep going and get this thing finished!

When I was without a laptop last week and therefore not wasting too much time on line, I finished three books. Transcendent Kingdom, The Falcon Thief, and The Midnight Library were all four stars for me. I'm still reading Owls of The Eastern Ice but it's slow going. I love reading a little bit about the two and a half foot tall Blakiston's Fish Owl, but a whole book about this rare and hard to find bird might be too much. So, of course, I started Perestroika in Paris. So far, so good!

What are you making and reading this week?

  1. So glad you enjoyed The Falcon Thief! I've got Perestroika in Paris on my hold list at the library (only 15 or so ahead of me). Your Hitchhiker is coming along so nicely Bonny and those little purple heart beads will be perfect on it!! I believe you will easily finish by Valentine's Day!

  3. I am on hold for Transcendent Kingdom and The Falcon Thief! And your Hitchhiker... those fiery colors are just beautiful! And beads! I can't wait to see what you do with them. Hmmm... now I am thinking about a hitchhiker with beads!

  4. That Hitchhiker is going to be epic! But I'm sure the rows are getting insanely long and tedious as well.

After delaying its delivery last week, I'm now reading "The Once and Future Witches" while I work on my spinning project and a baby sweater.

  7. I LOVE those beads, Bonny! They are just perfect -- and will jazz up your already swoon-worthy Hitchhiker so nicely (and just in time for Valentine's Day, too). Perestroika in Paris shoud be a pleasant diversion for you! XO

  8. The beads are a perfect match, Bonny, so they will really be great if you decide to add them. It is amazing how much reading you can get done if you stay off the internet, isn't it? It's hard to break the habit of checking the news, etc, but I am going to try to do that more going forward. I have a pile of kindle books and IRL books so I need to get reading on them. I finished the Vanishing Half, and I liked it, but maybe not as much as others. Hope your weather is improving!

  9. I love watching your hitchhikers take shape. The beads look like a nice addition. I have a copy of Midnight Library on my stack to be read. Sometimes fantasy or magic is a nice escape. About now escape sounds great to me.
