Unraveled Wednesday: 6/17/26

I’m happy to join Kat and the Unravelers today with some less-than-exciting knitting. The kitchen towel is back, and it’s now a bit longer than the last time you saw it.

I’ve been on a roll with this project. The knitting is both wonderfully mindless and relaxing, making it easy to pick up throughout the day. I’ve worked on it outside while listening to the birds and using Merlin, while waiting for loads of laundry to finish, and even at the auto body shop.

John had a car accident last week (he’s okay), but he left for a fishing trip this week, so I had to meet the insurance adjuster at the body shop while he inspected the damage. The knitting may not be exciting, but this towel has been getting around.

Later this afternoon, I’m taking it with me to Justin and Jess’s house, where I’ll be checking on my grand-kitties, Nugget and Fletch. The towel may be clamoring for even more adventures before it’s finally finished.

What are you making this Wednesday in June?

  1. Ha! A well-traveled towel. It's very pretty and such a. lovely shade of blue. So, Justin and Jess have a second cat named Fletch??!!??!! My eye doctor has several cats and one of them is named Fletcher. I'm enjoying this incredible weather - betting I'll be outside with Iris at least for part of the day today.

  2. I love this Traveling Towel's adventures! (and it is looking great!) I had hoped on doing some knitting outside this afternoon but it very much smells like rain outside. I am sorry to read about John's auto incident and how fortunate that he has you to do all the follow up. I hope you have a fun visit with Nugget and Fletch!

  3. That looks like some very meditative knitting, which I'm sure is welcome when dealing with insurance and car repairs. I hope you have a nice visit with the grand-kitties! I'm currently knitting only a pair of socks, because frankly I'm feeling a little uninspired and am not sure what to make next. It's a strange feeling for me!

  4. Making a finish (I hope) soon to the renovated house. There are always unexpected delays. Making a routine with Wink. I love the dishtowel, and it's great that you have some knitting that can travel with you. Enjoy your "me" time; do something just for you, Bonny. Merlin? I will show my ignorance and ask what this is.

  5. That is a fabulous-looking kitchen towel, Bonny! I love the little ridge-y/stripe thing. What a perfect detail for a towel. I love portable knitting that can accompany you while-you-wait!
