Light and Shadow
Sunny days have been rare around here recently, but even when the sky is gray, I'm still struck by the light and shadows that are produced. Since I'm spending so much time at home, I'm developing a new appreciation for what I can see (but rarely take the time to notice) in my sheltering home.
I hope you are getting some opportunities to enjoy the light and shadow in your home. Stay home and stay well.

You have a good eye, Bonny. These pictures are very intriguing. We had a beautiful weekend here, but I am unable to get outside due to extreme tree pollen allergies - RATS! It's like this every year, so nothing new. I hope your weather continues to improve. Be well.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured some seriously amazing images here! I'm going to make a point of looking for light and shadow at home this week.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some beautiful images there Bonny. Very interesting! I'm going to have to pay better attention to the play of light. Thanks!
ReplyDeletethe rainbow prisms are the best :) We had gloomy skies mostly this weekend but whenever the sun popped out I went outside with it to enjoy. Our one walk was half in sunshine and it was glorious!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for capturing things we see every day but don't notice. We have lots of sunshine here this morning and I'm so grateful for it!
ReplyDeleteYour starter looks lovely!! (and yay for sunshine!!)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! And we've got the sun here today too! Hello friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat GREAT photos, Bonny! I love finding sunshine and shadows in my house. (But not so much the dust that becomes oh-so-much-more apparent.) XO
ReplyDeleteOh wow. Those are some wonderful photos!!!
ReplyDeleteThe last time my cleaning ladies were here they did a quick wipe of my (east-facing) kitchen windows... and OMG, they look awful in the morning when the sun streams in. I'm working myself up to the task (and may as well do the outside, too).
I could figure out all but the fifth photo. So cool.
ReplyDeleteThe fifth photo is a reflection on my living room wall of light coming through a big window. The glass in the window is really old, but you don't notice all those lines looking through the window itself. They're really only evident in the reflection on the wall. It only happens for about half an hour in the morning, but it's kind of amazing to me when I see it now!
DeleteOh Bonny! I notice the light most at sunset when he trees in the east are lit up only in the tree tops and the sky is a yellow color! Fun images. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYou have great light (and shadow) and an eye - cool photos! ... and whoa, your starter looks ready to GO!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of light and shadow. Two years ago, my word was Light. I gave considerable thought to both light and shadow. Sometimes shadow carries a sinister meaning but it can also mean shade and shelter. I prefer the shade and shelter version.
ReplyDeleteThose are some very cool photos! Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie. It's amazing what you see and notice when you're at home all the time! We're doing well here and I hope you are, too.
DeleteI love your rainbows and watery illusions of light on surfaces. I am so much more aware of my surroundings in this confinement. Now, I will look for light and see what transpires.
