Living in a backward red state, I am unsure of how I can fight back, but I am certainly ready to do so. My elected officials are are unwilling to represent any but the ultra conservative, even though I live in a much more liberal city. I am researching what I can do, but if anyone has ideas, I would love to hear them. I think at present the best I can do is try to get the candidates running for local District Attorney to make a commitment not to prosecute women or healthcare professionals involved in abortion. The Nashville DA has promised not to prosecute. Remember when people said they wanted to move to Canada after DT was elected? I wish I was younger, I would. Not just for this issue only, but for what appears to be the impending doom of our democracy.
It was a surreal existence for sure.
ReplyDeleteI am very ready to fight back!
ReplyDeleteI have my list of phone calls to make today...and I have letters ready to send to everyone. Every.one.
ReplyDeleteAMEN!

I'm definitely feeling overwhelmed. But . . . forward, ho!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! I took myself to the lake early yesterday and it was a balm for my soul. Back at it today!
