Today I'm joining Kat and friends for Unraveled Wednesday with the Drachenblut Hitchhiker. I've only worked on it a little bit here and there, but have made some progress. I really like how the colors are playing out, and I think this will be the perfect cross-country project.
The only book I finished this week was Unsettled Ground. It was a library book that I needed to make sure I returned, so that gave me a good reason to just sit down one afternoon and enjoy reading. I keep thinking about the characters and am looking forward to discussing this in September. I've got Mrs. Lorimer's Quiet Summer on my Kindle, and The Narrowboat Summer and Empire of Pain on my ipod, just waiting until I step on the plane to CO before I start them. I'm not sure I can wait, but I might just start The Narrowboat Summer. As long as I've got wifi, I can always download more books for the drive back.
What are you knitting and reading this week?

This is my last post before I leave for CO. I'll be busy helping Ryan pack up his house and then driving back with him, so I don't think I'll write any blog posts until I'm back on the east coast. I'm not sure exactly when that will be, but maybe somewhere around July 26th? While the blog will be on hiatus for a bit, I might post on instagram if I see any interesting sights. I'm readknit on ig if you'd like to take a look.
Be well, stay cool, and I'll be back soon!
The Dragonblut HH will be perfect for a cross country project. You are wise to keep it simple. You will have enough distractions just getting it all done. Sounds like you are very organized! I am excited for you, Bonny. At the end of all this, there will be lots of rewards! You will be missed, and I send all the good vibes I have to you and Ryan for an uncomplicated and lovely trip. Take care, "see you" when you get back.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything goes smoothly with the move! I'll look forward to a big update on the blog when you're back and will keep an eye on IG for anything interesting sights along the way.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful adventure, Bonny! I'll look forward to keeping up with you on IG during your "vacation" (if you can call packing and driving cross-country a "vacation). I'm so excited you'll be able to give Ryan a REAL HUG soon. Enjoy every minute with him (and those last looks at Fort Collins, which I imagine might be bittersweet). Sending you ALL the BEST juju! XO
ReplyDelete(Also . . . I'm going to highly recommend The Narrowboat Summer. It's a perfect traveling kind of read.)
Take care and have a safe and fun trip. I will watch for your posts on IG!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll share on Instagram so we can follow your journey across the country and back! I'm very hapy for this adventure you're about to embark on and I hope you have successful and safe travels from beginning to end!
