Sometimes Monday ...
... is a day for hanging out. (Also lots of laundry, making zucchini bread, knitting, writing letters, prepping more masks for sewing, paying property taxes, and applying for a mail-in ballot for November, but I don't have appropriate photos for those activities.) Make it a good week!
I had been putting it off, but all it took was a phone call to the county clerk, she sent me the application, and I'm dropping it in the mail today. I have high hopes, and have to make sure to vote to even have a chance of achieving them.
Hello, Mr. Mantis! I'm always a little amazed and a little freaked out when I see them. They're simultaneously bizarre and amazing creatures, aren't they?
Please forgive my being behind in reading your blog (where have I been? I have no answer). Our county/state automatically sent every person a ballot. There are NO polling places open as "they" feel it isn't safe to vote in person (as we know, it isn't). Yay, Utah (for once)! Staying busy is key to staying sane, right? Yes!
Me, too! Very busy Monday! I paid my property taxes last week, but our county clerks are so, so busy. I think Covid 19 has hit in the government offices here. Got my mail in ballot for the primaries last week. Cleaning, doing laundry, cleaning carpets, etc. It feels good to get ahead of it at the beginning of the week, and I am tired, but it's nice to have it behind me. I hope this means we will both get a little bit of downtime sometime this week. I love that shot of the mantis!
Have fun! We've been seeing more praying mantis this year. That's a great photo!
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot! I'm also applying for a mail-in ballot!

ReplyDeleteOoof, property taxes! Thanks for the reminder, ours are due next Monday.
