Some random bits and pieces that made me happy this week:
Sneaking a case of water (working outdoors, he drinks a lot of it) into the bed of Justin's truck and then sending him the photo when he got back to the ranch
A sister-in-law who sends me photos of the amazing seedless Armenian cucumber she grew (Too bad she can't save seeds for me. :-))
This one didn't make me especially happy, but it was interesting to receive a photo of the bear footprint Justin came across.
"Don't worry, Mom. It's just a 300 pound brown bear, not a grizzly."

Rewatching Endeavour in anticipation of season 4 beginning on Sunday

That cucumber is great!! Some of my son's have turned out like that. And yay for Endeavour - we have been waiting for this!! I'm not going to think about the bear....have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the new season of Endeavour! My town will be very busy this weekend, students are returning to Eastern Illinois University for classes to start Monday and we are all in eclipse mode around here, the magnitude in this part of Illinois will be 95.5%, so I am hoping for clear skies. The Astronomy Club on campus is hosting an eclipse viewing festival and that is where I plan to be Monday afternoon! Hope you have a great weekend!

A week in the life of Bonny is interesting and entertaining. I have never watched Endeavor. I will have to check it out. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThings have been a lot better with me since I cut down on my news and facebook time. I'm trying to walk that fine line between staying informed and staying sane! Endeavour is a wonderful PBS Masterpiece mystery show about the early life of Inspector Endeavour Morse (prior to the Colin Dexter novels). You can stream it on Amazon Prime or PBS if you're interested; I highly recommend it! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteThank you! It's been a pretty good growing year and I think we've still got plenty of gardening time left (Brussels sprouts, maybe another planting of spinach, and lots more tomatoes).
DeleteI'm going to have Smith check right now that we have the DVR set to Endeavor! That bear print is impressive (Justin knows how to stay safe), and your garden photo is so impressive. We never can keep up with all the weeding, so ours is not as beautiful! That cucumber is amazing! We have a Lebanese variety that is similar (no seeds), but not as beautiful.
