Ten on Tuesday - Jackpot!

Today's Ten On Tuesday topic is 10 Things To Shout When You Hit the Jackpot. This is quite possibly related to Carole's trip to Las Vegas. Since I'm not much of a gambler, my jackpots are going to be metaphorical, like when I find half-price yarn, spy a $20 bill in the grocery store parking lot, finish paying for two undergraduate tuitions, or maybe even if I happen to win a few dollars on lottery tickets. Here's what I'd say:
  1. Hot Damn!
  2. Jackpot! (Let's go with the obvious.)
  3. Woo Hoo!
  4. Gadzooks!
  5. Leaping lizards!
  6. Holy ravioli!
  7. Good heavens!
  8. Sufferin' succotash!
  9. Mutt's nuts! (Courtesy of my English neighbor)
  10. My arse in parsley! (Another one from my English neighbor)
To be honest, I really only ever use the first one in real life, but I am glad to include the last two. It's always a treat to chat with my neighbor; she has a wealth of English expressions that make me laugh.

Here's hoping that Carole (along with the rest of you) hit the jackpot!

  8. #3 is my go to... but I'm still laughing about #9 and #10. Hope Carole had plenty of opportunity to use all these suggestions!

  9. This brought back memories of Gpa using his exclamations of 'horse feathers' and 'bird fur'.
