Tulips were a tray of jewels.

Oh, the joys of seeing what blooms in spring at a house you bought in the summer!

  2. Best.Quote.Ever! I might need to pull that book out and read it again! And your tulips are stunning! That is the one thing I miss most desperately - tulips. Around here the deer eat them down to the ground before the blooms even open. Darned deer!

  3. So true! Our daughter Jessica moved into a new rental last summer and she's having the same experience. There are tons of daffodils and hyacinths and tulips!

  8. What a happy surprise! Buying established properties always leads to surprises, but they are not always good ones. This is a very good one! And I love the quote, Bonny. I hope you are in for lots of positive surprises this spring.

  9. Oh how fun. My sister & her family are currently in the Netherlands and visited a tulip field -- huge stripes of colorful blooms (just like the photos you see... and wonder if they can possibly be real) (they are)! I hope you discover more fun stuff at your new house this spring!!
