Sometimes I just don't reply unless I want to stick up for someone who isn't there to stand up for themselves. The Loopy Ewe shopping excursion looks like lots of fun. People are thoughtless more often than they are malicious, I think. Being malicious requires thought. I probably would have given her the stink eye and said, "excuse me?" just to see if she put any of it together. Bet you would have gotten a blank look. You know, people all over the world eat bugs, and they are going to be the protein of the future if the population keeps growing, so I try to keep an open mind about them. I have read that they can be tasty. Beetles supposedly taste like cashews. I would try them. Can't be any worse than eating shrimp (they are hideous looking) or crawfish. Ryan's clematis is gorgeous. Every time I have tried to grow one, it died.becksterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02147945810663254093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-39870940699403255422018-06-25T12:23:35.376-04:002018-06-25T12:23:35.376-04:00Haha. I don't know where she got this, but I like to think it's true, even if the nest means you have to neglect your clematis. :-)Bonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608328439375705263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-61472339982606876222018-06-25T09:33:09.553-04:002018-06-25T09:33:09.553-04:00The Clematis is stunning! That's life in the west as it happens every year. The woman in CO must have had the munchies, not that that excuses her behavior.
