It is so much fun. My son read a few of Paulsen's books. He was more of a sci-fi and fantasy guy. When I asked him if he wanted another one, he said he didn't think he could read one more "survival in the wilderness" story. He was always very direct with his opinions. I might look for his biography though. Writer's biographies/memoirs intrigue me. I like the stripe idea! I think that will look so lovely. There is something just so wonderful about those long rows... you can just settle in and lean into the meditation of knitting. I'm sorry Addie wasn't right for you. I never read any of Gary Paulsen's books as a child, but I think my brother read them and enjoyed them (that genre really didn't appeal to me, so I never thought to give them a try). I hope you find you have a lot more reading/knitting time now that the dreaded taxes are done. I tried to read Hour of the Witch, but promptly took it back to the library. I couldn't get into it. That has happened a lot lately. I started When the Stars Go Dark yesterday. I am not crazy about the author's writing style, but maybe I can get into this one. I have been looking for immersive fiction myself. I am going to get a haircut today, the first one I have had since February of 2020. I'm excited!becksterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02147945810663254093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-14668409110358165862021-05-12T07:39:18.796-04:002021-05-12T07:39:18.796-04:00beautiful! any news on his relocating yet?
