Nightshift is going to be fabulous and I hope you like the colors well enough to watch them unfold in the pattern.
I just finished Apeirogon (audio version) and loved the way the story is told, through overlapping stories, events, words, and thoughts, which was a masterful way of telling this story, one few people know or understand. margenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00203284423648703855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-70846994243580490272020-03-12T13:58:34.831-04:002020-03-12T13:58:34.831-04:00Love your Hitchhiker and looking forward to seeing...Love your Hitchhiker and looking forward to seeing your new yarn knit up into the Night Shift; adding Late Migrations to my TBR list...sounds fascinating.
Honoréhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17328955991011872557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-17280914790341953622020-03-12T07:52:49.953-04:002020-03-12T07:52:49.953-04:00I really like the stripes in your Hitchhiker, Bonn...I really like the stripes in your Hitchhiker, Bonny. I think you'll need to wrap it around your neck to see the full glory of those stripes, though! Sometimes it's hard to judge when you're looking at it on the needle like that. The Night Shift pattern really mixes up the colors of the yarn in unexpected ways -- so, again, give yourself some "real estate" before you make the final call on your colors. When I was knitting mine, there was one color I thought I'd really hate, and one I thought I'd really love. . . and I bet you can guess where I'm going with this . . . because, in the end, it was completely the opposite! Have fun exploring with color. It looks bright and cheerful and like Spring. There is something about the home stretch of projects that kicks me into gear. I can dawdle and set things aside forever but if the end is in sight - I am on it. I had not heard of This is Happiness but have added it to my list. My sister gave me a copy of Late Migrations for my birthday and it is a beautiful book. I have been doing a lot of "comfort" reading which does not demand a lot of focus or energy. I will have to check out your books, and thanks for telling us about them. I think your (Ryan's?) hitchhiker is fabulous with that stripe, and you have shown great restraint in holding off on starting a new project. That's hard to do when you are excited about a new pattern! becksterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02147945810663254093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-40933891154940305542020-03-11T11:46:49.768-04:002020-03-11T11:46:49.768-04:00I am sorry you haven't been sleeping well -- f...I am sorry you haven't been sleeping well -- falling asleep in the middle of knitting is not ideal!

I think once you start knitting your Nightshift, you're going to be surprised by the colors. I've never failed to be surprised how different colors can appear when they're combined with others.
