I'm reading a classic, "To the North", by a not well known author Elizabeth Bowen. It's fascinating reading. I just finished my long time knitting project Spice Market. It was several years ago, so maybe I should try again. Hopefully, my patience has improved some over the years. I just finished Glass Houses, another Louise Penny gem. I'm really enjoying it! I pre-ordered What Happened and look forward to reading it on my kindle. Your shawl is going to be lovely, I like the look of the beads with the blue yarn. I knit a cape style wrap with beads for my niece when she was 9 or 10. I was never sure of the bead placement, but it looked fine in the end and she loved it. It's just weird enough to be good! I read the first March book by John Lewis and even though I'm not a great graphic novel reader, I thought it was a terrific way to convey his story and important issues. Your beads are so attractive with the vibrant blue, more thumbs might help!
Reading - I an eager to read Sourdough, so far my library doesn't have it, I might have to buy it and then share with my relatives. Right now, "A Gentleman In Moscow" is entertaining me a lot, so quaint and old fashioned. I've had it on my shelves for months.
I finished "March" book 1 by John Lewis - a graphic book for adults, it surprised me so much about that time in the late 60-70's, I was so engrossed in studying at college I never thought about racial unrest, or much of anything in the news, I was a naive hick from a rural town. Nowadays I am so impressed by Mr. Lewis. I recommend this "comic book" but it does deal with potent issues, but told in a decent and empathetic way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-58010008701472832042017-09-06T08:57:02.234-04:002017-09-06T08:57:02.234-04:00The blue and the beads are so pretty together.
