It's always nice to have flowers around, but you're right, they are even more lovely when we're dealing with snow, ice, and cold!Bonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608328439375705263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-21318112706318199482018-03-14T10:28:46.272-04:002018-03-14T10:28:46.272-04:00I was afraid she wouldn't be happy because the...I was afraid she wouldn't be happy because the house got so cold, but if anything it seems as if the cold may have made her flowers last a little longer. I hadn't even considered the fact that they are a tropical species, but you've given me something to think about. I know they are are susceptible to frost, so I don't put mine outside until at least May, but apparently they can tolerate 48 degrees for several days. That will just have to remain a hypothesis because I don't want to conduct that experiment again any time soon!Bonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608328439375705263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-21398551593360786542018-03-13T16:17:36.448-04:002018-03-13T16:17:36.448-04:00Stunning Bonny. It is, after all, a tropical plant, isn't it? I looked it up, and there is a species from Africa, and a species from South America, and both places seem to be warmer than NJ! Simple pleasures are so welcome anytime, but especially during times of stress. becksterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02147945810663254093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5141954207305878743.post-36292136669663196072018-03-13T14:59:07.240-04:002018-03-13T14:59:07.240-04:00Lovely, Bonny!
