Today is looking so much better than the rest of the week. We had some rain and best of all, the temperatures have cooled down ... a lot. Today's high is only supposed to be 70 degrees, and I'm thrilled with the 30-degree cool down. Next week looks like another hot one in the 90s but I guess that's summertime and it shouldn't reach 100.
I'm going down to see Nugget tomorrow and have bagels with Jess but other than that, I've got a blissful weekend to myself. I hope you're anticipating an equally satisfying weekend!
Bonny, I am so pleased for you. I know this week has been brutal for you. I hope you have a chair that you can sit in outside, and maybe drink one of those Yuengling's. This calls for a celebration! It's always surprising to me how much extremely hot weather can wear you down. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's cooled down here also after a night of thunderstorms. I don't think I've ever felt it as hot as it was here last week. There were times when I went outside that I could barely breathe. I hope we get the rain they are predicting for the next few days. It would be a welcome change from the blast furnace we had been living in.

DeleteWe had a bit of rain last night, but not much. However, when I walked down the driveway to the mailbox this morning, my arms were chilly! That felt blissful. Enjoy today and bagels with Jess (and Nugget) tomorrow! Hope your weekend can be relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous! We finally got some rain yesterday evening and the heat index dropped from about 91 to 75, but we're still under a heat advisory of some sort until tonight.

We got some rain last night as well... it was so welcome! My windows are all steamed up today and it is humid out, but I think we are moving in the right direction to a bit more moderate temperatures! Have a great day tomorrow and a fantastic weekend!

ReplyDeleteIt was downright chilly at the campground on Thursday and we started our fire early to warm up - what a turnaround from Tuesday! Yesterday was warm but not hot and there was no humidity and it was lovely. It's raining a little this morning and we are packing up and heading home. I hope you have a good time having bagels with Jess and enjoying your quiet weekend!
