Look who I had the pleasure of spending several hours with on Saturday:
Dee and Vera!
We met at the 9wonderful Lumberville General Store, had delicious coffee and chai, and knit for a bit. I got to see Dee's sparkly Christmas socks, the start of Vera's socks for Mailing, and I even got to see Vera's magic circle crochet start for granny squares. If I had been a little bit smarter I would have taken photos while were were knitting so you could also see what we were working on, but we were too busy solving the world's problems. Next time! We didn't even have to go elsewhere for lunch; we just ordered some delicious sandwiches here at the same place and kept on talking.
It was wonderful to get together in person and spend some very enjoyable time with you ladies, and I thank you for inviting me. Knitting is often a solitary activity, but it's much more fun with these two good friends!
It was so great to get together!! Fun times and we have to do it again before too long.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! (and I am feeling a bit of envy that you all are close enough to do this!) I am certain that the "powers that be" should have been eavesdropping on your problem solving discussion... they obviously need better advisors! XO
ReplyDeleteso wonderful to see the three of you together!! Isn't it funny that after a gathering we wonder why we didn't take more photos, that's how you know you were present and enjoying yourself.
ReplyDeleteIt warms my heart when people I know on the internet get to meet up in real life! And it certainly says a lot about how much fun you were having that you neglected to take photos of the crafting!
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing the three of you together, Bonny! What a fun time y'all must have had together. XO
ReplyDeleteHi Bonny!
ReplyDeleteI'm here from Dee and Vera's blogs and just wanted to say how lucky you all are to have like minded folks around to meet up with. Since I retired I really miss my old work knitting group but seeing what everyone is up to on their blogs almost makes up for it.
We are really lucky to be able to get together and have such a wonderful time. I hope you can find a local knitting group (maybe through your library?) that includes really nice people like Dee and Vera.
DeleteThe three of you look so happy! I hope the joy stays with you thoughout the week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie! There are times (like when we have Read With Us discussions) that I wish all of us lived closer and could get together in person.
DeleteThis is wonderful and I love seeing you all together!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for y'all ... knitting with other like-minded ladies ... with good food/drink ... it doesn't get any better!
ReplyDeletep.s. I didn't have any soup recipes to share, but I did love your post and the comments!
DeleteI love seeing the three of you together. As I said to Dee, I consider your photos and the story of your time together as good news for the soul. What beautiful smiles.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you all had a great time!! And it's great to see your smiling faces! It's been quite a while since I've knit with friends... I'm usually quite content by myself, but there are times when I miss people. haha.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to spend a Sat. morning-with blog friends!!!
