(Disclosure: I actually came upon this yesterday, but "Thursday Find" just didn't have the same alliteration.)
I had to run a couple of errands yesterday, to return a library book and then stop by the liquor store. Those aren't too tedious as errands go, but as I was leaving the liquor store, I spied something intriguing in the back corner of the parking lot.
A taco truck!
It was 10:30 in the morning, but they were open and I'm always in the mood for a good taco so I had to give them a try.
My go-tos are chorizo and al pastor, so I ordered two of each of them. They smelled so good in the car that I barely had the patience to take a picture before biting into them. Both kinds were delicious, and I was thrilled to have found some pretty darn good tacos in Elkton. It seems like a genius move to set up in the liquor store parking lot, and when I asked them if they had a schedule, they said they were there semi-permanently. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I'm looking forward to trying more items from the menu.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful, safe, and delicious long weekend, with some fun finds of your own!
Oh man she said with mouth watering. They look DELICIOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteoh YUMMMMMM (which is saying a lot at 7:45am!)
ReplyDeleteOh man! These look amazing! What a most excellent find! :)
ReplyDeleteWe found a fantastic taco truck in a parking lot across the street from one of our favorite liquor stores... but they're not always there, so it's been a "by chance" type of situation. They sure are good. Luckily, there's a Mexican grocery and taqueria only three blocks from my house! So good. They even have lengua, tripa, and cabeza if I ever feel more adventurous!
ReplyDeleteOh, YES! My two favorite foods are pizza . . . and TACOs. And I think Taco Trucks are the best invention ever. What a great find, Bonny. (And I want a taco. Right NOW. at 9:00 am.) XO
ReplyDeleteTacos are appropriate at ANY TIME of day! And now I want tacos, too.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe I never had a taco until I moved to Illinois in 2006...I was in my 50s! In fact I had never eaten at a Mexican restaurant until I moved here! In the town I'm from we had a lot of good Italian & Puerto Rican restaurants, but not Mexican. My friends have been a big help in introducing me to Mexican food, especially one friend from Mexico who makes the most amazing tamales!
ReplyDeleteSpaghetti was about the most exotic food I grew up with, so I didn't have a taco until later in my life, too. But better late than never (and homemade tamales sound delicious)!
DeleteMexican or maybe I should say, Tex-Mex, is my favorite food group. YUM, these look fantastic. And, yes, I could eat them for breakfast, no problem.
ReplyDeleteThe tacos look delicious - any time of day. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious!!! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYou lucky duck -- there is never anything interesting or delicious to be found in the parking lot of the liquor store where I shop!
