I'm Amazed - At how easily I was able to resolve my dead wireless card problem. I ordered a new laptop (mine was 10 years old), it was delivered the next day, and it only took me a couple of hours to set it up. It took me a lot more time to re-enter all the saved passwords for websites that I use on a regular basis, but I think I've got the important ones covered so I can pay bills, peruse goodreads, and read your blogs.
Avoiding - Thinking about all the snow that is predicted today and tomorrow. We're supposed to get 11-14 14-20 inches in NJ. (The snow total seems to increase every time I look at the weather forecast!) It is winter so snow is not unexpected, just not very welcome. Justin is here in NJ but had to go into work very early this morning to plow. John and I decided to stay in NJ as there will be much more snow to clear here than in MD. MD can wait until next week.
Enjoying - The tea that finally arrived from Plum Deluxe. Sarah convinced me with her post and I'm glad she did. It took quite a while to arrive, but that was due to the USPS shuttling it around the country. My tea has traveled far more than I have in the past year! I ordered several varieties and they are all delicious.
Considering - One Little Word that just popped into my head one day while I was meditating. I wasn't going to choose a word this year, but I can't seem to stop thinking about it and the many ways it fits into my life. More to come ...
Looking Forward To - Getting a covid vaccine and feeling safer about maybe traveling to see Ryan. I know I say this a lot, but my heart aches to see him after 15 months and my arms ache to give him a huge hug.
Hoping - That Joe Biden is successful at increasing the vaccine supply and states can deliver the vaccine in a more timely manner.
So nice to *hear* from you again Bonny! Glad your technology issues have been solved. They sure don't make laptops (or anything) to really last these days. The fact that you got 10 years out of yours is wonderful. We seem to be having sleet rather than snow here at the moment, but I think 14" is still forecast for us (though I have not looked in some time). I decided to bake bread, so once Fletch gets out of the way (he is making his breakfast), I will get moving on that! Welcome back - you were missed!!
ReplyDeleteso glad that you are back on line with a new computer! Your babies are adorable, doesn't it seem like yesterday? Life was easier back then. We are getting lots and lots of snow!
ReplyDeleteBonny, you have been missed! It appears that your break may have been good in several ways, so there was a silver lining in your troubles. Yes, I would certainly want to hug those cute kids, without a doubt. I hope your vaccine wishes will come true soon. I thought my husband was going to get a vaccine last week, but no dice. I hope you get less snow than predicted, but it looks like you are in for it. All we have here is very frigid and wet weather, so I guess I am lucky. It doesn't feel that way! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteYes! I'm glad you're back and that it wasn't too painful. Fritos ALWAYS go with chili at my house (I learned from my mom and my kids feel the same)! I can't wait until you can hug Ryan again... and, yes, those kids are SO HUGGABLE... even that sticky blue Justin! Haha!!
ReplyDeleteHooray for your new laptop! What cuties your boys were when they were small! I just looked out the window and the snow has started here. Yay?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I'm glad you had no trouble with the new computer, and it's great to hear what you've been up to in the interim. We are all home today thanks to a snow day at Rainbow's school (which they decided on last night -- I very much appreciated that they called it in time to turn off her alarm before she went to sleep!), and it's a winter wonderland outside, though I think we only got a few (3-4?) inches of snow. My husband told me that he spent an hour shoveling this morning, and my daily walk definitely took longer and I worked up quite a sweat trudging through all that snow! I'm glad to hear that you are staying put. Clearing snow is hard work, so I fully endorse jelly doughnuts to replenish the calories you burn!
ReplyDeleteWe had quite a bit of snow over the weekend . . . but not THAT MUCH snow! I'm glad you're staying put -- and that you have plenty to keep you busy during the storm. (And YES to jelly donuts!) So glad you're back up and connected with your new laptop. Enjoy. And Little Ryan and Little Justin! Oh, what sweethearts! XOXO
ReplyDeleteFrito Pie is the BEST!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your new computer and got it all set up. Frito pie and jelly donuts - yum! Hope you can travel soon - we are also looking forward to the vaccine. I need to get my second dose and hubby needs both and then there is our son... We have made travel plans for this summer, so we sure hope we won't have to change them. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteSo great to see you back! and sure hope it was as relatively painless as you described. Glad you're hunkered down in NJ and gosh, that chili and the donuts sound delicious. also, older photos are the best - those boys (and those messy faces)!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!! We got enough snow that Steve had a snow day yesterday, lol. All.the.shoveling... oy. But we only got about 8 inches... whew! And I vote yes for Jelly Donuts! :) I am with you on aching heart and arms... it is a palpable pain these days.
ReplyDeleteSooooo cute! I wish Doug liked chili because he loves Fritos! (Vitamin F in our house.) Welcome back and I also vote yes to the jelly donuts. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a long time not to hug your grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you in wishing for more vaccine. I don't mind waiting -- I just don't want to go back to school without it!
That is a lot of snow. We only have about 10" on the ground.
Ten inches is a lot to shovel and get around in! I just read an article that said vaccinations will be given at Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens beginning 2/11. Here's hoping you can get one soon!
DeleteI'm glad your computer problems were solved fairly easily. Of course you want to hug those boys. It's been way too long. I'm hoping the vaccine roll out picks up speed. I think the earlier estimate for when we could be vaccinated was way too optimistic. Patience I tell myself.
ReplyDeleteGood you’re back! Your boys were adorable...and your Hitchhiker lovely (I read today’s post: 2/3/21 first). Vaccine on my list too if I can ever get an appt. made!
ReplyDeleteCheers~
Happy to hear your computer woes were easily fixed and very happy you're back! I'm wasn't much of a Frito fan until a friend introduced me to Lightly Salted Fritos! You can actually taste the corny-ness of them and I'm hooked! Now I want to make chili to put on top! Your boys cuteness has turned into handsomeness!
