1. Plant seeds
2. Tend seeds until they grow to be seedlings

3. Plant seedlings in the garden (and be patient and encouraging)
They don't look like much now, but hopefully, they'll be producing tomatoes in August. |
The peas (and blue bottles) are looking good!
Thanks Bonnie, that was fun this a.m., to see gardens started.
ReplyDeleteI hope I can show you photos of the garden growing later in the summer.
DeleteI laughed at "grow dammit" Hahaha! Perfect! (and I love those rare blue bottles!)
ReplyDeleteI am always impressed by your garden -- and also very amused by your sign! I need to start some other seedlings (we discovered cucumber and butternut squash seeds), but I've got some sunflowers and peas started already. Of course, I don't have quite your good setup, nor have I managed to find those rare blue bottles quite yet.
ReplyDeletePlanting seeds is on my list for the weekend. Fun sign!
ReplyDeleteNice going Bonny! Your garden is always an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you were able to get your garden in this year! Now . . . it'll be exciting to see everything GROW. (I love your blue bottles so much.) XO
ReplyDeleteI relate to fence fence fence Love the blue bottles
ReplyDelete;-) you make it look so easy! these photos look so "normal" (just like springs in past years) and I can't wait to see how everything grows.
ReplyDeleteyour garden looks fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a consistent gardener, and I don't think I've ever started my own plants, but I'm looking forward to picking up a bunch of seedlings from my CSA farm next week!!!
ReplyDeletePlant and watch in horror as everything freezes. :( Yep, that's what happened to our tomatoes and potatoes. Smith had to buy all new tomatoes. :(
ReplyDeleteStep Three is my favorite. It's been awhile since I started seeds indoors. I did plant some zinnia and cucumber seeds outdoors though. So far I think the birds have had quite a meal from the zinnia seeds. Your garden looks like it is off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteAnother good item to start your planting in, is an empty roll of toilet paper, cut in half, then make a little cut out of newspaper and put the cut tube in the cup... biodegradable
