Two of my orchids have flower spikes!
They are certainly not much to look at now, but in about a month or so, I'll (hopefully) have some blooming orchids. What a lovely reward after a long winter!
Striving to be highly reasonable, even in the face of unreasonableness. Reading, knitting, and some alcohol may help.
I've always been intimidated by orchids. I hope you'll post photos when yours bloom!
ReplyDeletewow! I have two very pretty (fake!) orchids that bloom continuously. I'm really impressed that real ones bloom again, too!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed, you have talent! I was given an orchid which I killed and that made me quite sad. I think I'll blame it on my house natural lighting :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! I have 9 orchids in the bay window, 7 of which are either in bloom or have spikes with buds. All but one are grocery store orchids - only one of them is new, the others are all re-bloomers. It's so exciting to see them bloom again, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteCheryl and her mother have the best looking orchids I've seen outside a green house. I've heard orchids thrive on neglect and light. Enjoy the anticipation. It will surely be worth the wait!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE orchids!!! I've had several over the years, and until this last winter, I've never had success with the re-blooming part. So cool! Can't wait to see yours go to town!!!
ReplyDeleteOne of the especially nice things about a flowering orchid plant is how long the blooms last. Enjoy them!
